The eighth print in the Lesser Known Architecture series, The Iron Bridge which spans the River Severn between Broseley and Madeley Wood was originally planned and designed by Thomas Farnolls Pritchard and built by pioneering ironmaster Abraham Darby III in 1779. It was the first ever structural use of cast Iron in the world.
